Social etiquette of smartphones; where to draw the line?

Nowadays, cell phone always develop more and more. If you buy a new phone today, it become the old one tomorrow. We can use cell phone whatever we want to do that much. For example, we can search for internet, listen to music, check e-mail, watch movie and check the stocks for businessman.
But the more cellphone develop, the less people keep the manner. We can use smartphone during meeting, talking to friends, class and even toilet. people don't care during using phone.If my friend ignore my words because of cellphone. I get angry. I never want to talk to my friends.I think people have to keep the manner at a minimum.
This is my experience in Korea. When I take the subway, the older person come into the subway. A girl sit on the seat. As for Korea, if the older people take the public transportation, youngerpeople have to offer their seat to an old man. That is the manner in Korea. But the girl use cellphone, she never offered her seat to him. So I got angry. Because the old man bring the heavy luggage. Nowadays most of young people use cellphone, so they ignore the old man very easily like this happen. I know we live very comfotable and convenience because of smartphone. But human has manner and thought what things the smartphone doesn't have. I want people to keep social etiqutte of smartphone anywhere.
